Well, our long, long trip is finally over. It was a good one--we saw tons and tons of family, had some new experiences, and visited some new states, but two months is a long time to be away from your home.
We took off Friday after Jordan got off work at 11:30 am--we decided we were going to drive straight through the 12 1/2 hour drive because we are pretty tired of hotels. We didn't really want to pay to stay in another one. We finally arrived home at 2:00 am Georgia time and it was nice to give a big sigh as we walked in the door. I was excited to see that all of our stuff was still around, too. :)
Lexi was absolutely thrilled. She ran around our whole apartment with her entire body wagging like, "Look, guys! This is so much bigger than all the other rooms we've been in lately! Yay!"
So, even though Georgia doesn't really feel quite like home and we certainly won't stay here forever, it's nice to be here, with all of our stuff, and where I get to cook, and just feel like we are at home. Unfortunately, poor Jordan has to leave on Tuesday to go to D.C. for two weeks. We'll miss you, Jordan!
