On Monday night, after we got back from our trip to the zoo, we all (there are 20 of us now--Jordan's parents, his siblings, their spouses, and their kids) headed up into the canyons for a hot dog dinner and family night. Unfortunately when we got up there, all of the campfire spots were taken! We were so sad, but then when we were on our way back down the canyon we saw one tiny spot left! We were so happy. What a tender mercy it was for us to all get to be together up in the mountains!
I got Logan all dressed up for camping in his darling little jeans, a raccoon shirt, some cute socks, and a darling little sweatshirt! I had recieved this cute 3 month sweatshirt from a friend and I wasn't sure where he was going to use it in the summer in Georgia, but it worked out great for a Utah evening!
He was so cute! He seemed to really enjoy being outside. He didn't cry at all!

At the end of the fun evening, Laurie talked a little bit about tender mercies. In 1 Nephi 1:20 it says, "the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith." We have had a lot of tender mercies in our family, one of which is our dear Logan! He came to our family because of many, many prayers from those who love us. We are so grateful to have him!
It was so fun to be up in the canyons with all the family. It made Jordan and I really excited to go camping with Logan. Maybe next spring? We'll see!
