Yesterday we celebrated our first Memorial Day in Arizona! It was so nice to have Jordan home for the day! You know, since he's been working for two whole weeks ;)
We started the day off by going to the dog park. It's a really nice park with a playground next to it, so Logan can play too. I feel so bad for Lexi because she is just not getting the exercise she needs right now. Being a dog owner who is pregnant in an apartment with a toddler in the summer causes a lot of guilt, let me tell you. But she had a lot of fun at the park making friends!
After playing at the park for a while, we went home and had lunch before heading out to the Diamondbacks baseball game. Intel gives their employees up to 8 free tickets for a game once a month, so we took advantage of a free outing!
Logan was really excited but quickly got bored with the actual game. Which is understandable. I've never been a big baseball fan. Basketball is much more fun to watch.
So we decided to bribe him with cotton candy to get him to sit. It worked for a little while.
Logan and I decided to wander around the stadium, so we went upstairs and found a playground! How cool is that? Logan got to play on it for a while. It was hard to keep track of him though because ALL the kids were wearing red!
It was fun because even by the playground you could watch the game. Oh, and the stadium had a cover and it was air conditioned, which made it so nice because I think it was like 98 degrees yesterday.
The game was during Logan's nap, so we decided to leave after the 4th inning. Pretty much as soon as we put him in the car he was out!
After a long nap and Jordan grilled up some yummy chicken, we decided to go play in the pool!
We also discovered that at the pool by the clubhouse (we have 3 pools in our complex) that there is a firepit! How fun is that? It was a great way to end our day!
